1) Reasons for the formulation of
HERBAGREEN®
With “HERBAGREEN®” we
successfully changed the way of
traditional farming.
Farmers face many hardships in yield,
pests and diseases due to the high cost
of agricultural inputs.
In order to meet the food requirements
of an ever-increasing population, the
limited land and water resources have to
be optimised, which has resulted in
further use of chemicals, the long term
results of which are disastrous.
Having recognised this and in order to
meet the challenge of increasing crop
yield, while simultaneously reducing the
use of chemicals that scientists, in
Austria, through intensive research,
were able to come up with the wonder
solution –“ HERBAGREEN®”
The farming community will benefit
commercially through the usage of the
environmentally friendly product “HERBAGREEN®”.
The increased use of pesticides,
insecticides and a whole host of other
chemicals have degraded the soil,
waterways and have in fact even degraded
the product.
The knowledge of the benefits of “HERBAGREEN®”
will give one confidence of using this
natural product, which has no harmful
effects either to the farmer or the
environment.
2) What is
HERBAGREEN®
Herbagreen is a natural Foliar
Fertilizer produced in Europe, certified
as an ecological product.
HERBAGREEN®
is a natural mineral product made of
calcite only.
Calcite is a sedimentary rock which
emerges from calcareous seaweed.
The patented Micro Grinding Technology
allows creating Nano particles. So,
HERBAGREEN®
can enter directly into the leave and
start its function immediately.
The raw material of “HERBAGREEN®”
is all natural mineral [volcanic] and is
derived from the mines in Rechnitz in
Austria.
The natural mineral is micronized
calcite [calcium carbonate] into a fine
powder.
No other substances are added to the
final product.
The patent holder and the producer of
this product is Micro Mineral GmbH also
of Rechnitz, Austria.
3) Mode of Action
Photosynthesis is the most important
process-taking place in plants. This
process is triggered by chlorophyll
absorbing light resulting in Carbon
dioxide (CO2) plus water (H2O) being
converted to Carbohydrates and Oxygen
(O2).
The required 0.1% of CO2 for
photosynthesis is taken from the air but
only 0.03 to 0.04% is actual available.
From the diluted HERBAGREEN® taken up by
the plant, now the available CO2
increases to 0.065% resulting in
significantly higher photosynthesis.

HERBAGREEN® increases the Harvest
HERBAGREEN® activates the photosynthesis
of the leaves and reduces the stress of
the plants. Better functioning leaves
stimulate the growth of roots as well as
their function to deliver more nutrients

5) Usage - Other countries
Thailand is the country that has taken
the lead in the promotion of HERBAGREEN®
in the Asian region, where trials, field
tests etc. have been successfully
carried out and the commercial usage of
HERBAGREEN® has commenced since 2009.

6) A few references
I - CEREALS: WHEAT and BARLEY
(France)
- Increase of the yield by 20% as a
result of increased photosynthesis (the
culture was of a very dark green colour
& the plants of uniform appearance);
- A strong and upright stem. No signs of
drooping;
- Harvest occurring ten days earlier
than in the area not treated with
HERBAGREEN®.

II - SUGAR BEET (Croatia, France)
- Increase in sugar beet yields by 10 to

to diseases and, to a certain extent, to
attack by pests;
- The roots of the beets are more
uniform in size and appearance.

III - POTATOES (Croatia, France,
Macedonia, Russia)
- Plants of a dark green colour with an
increased number of flowers;
- Increased resistance to diseases;
- Increased vitality of the plant;
- Increased resistance to attack of
potato beetle. In Russia, the beetle did
not appear on the treated plants,
while it completely destroyed untreated plants on the same experimental
plot;
- Increased dry matter content by 15%.

June 2007, at the Genadi
farm in the south of
Chuvashiya, the culture of
pumpkins showed extremely
fast and exuberant growth.
The plants developed great
above-ground biomass,
flourished lushly and the

compared with untreated
plants that we can see on
the left side of the

7) Current status of ‘Herbagreen” in Sri
Lanka
We have been appointed as sole agent for
the promotion and marketing of
“Herbagreen” in Sri Lanka.
We have had initial discussions with all
the relevant government officials who
have expressed their support for the
product and the next phase, of importing
the necessary quantities for trials to
be undertaken by:
1) Rice Research & Development Institute
2) Horticultural Research & Development Institute
3) Field Crop Research & Development Institute
We are confident that the field tests
that will be carried out by the above
institutes will be successful as it has
been in all other countries that filed
tests have been carried out.
2012 Will be the year of “Herbagreen” in
Sri Lanka.
